Synopsis
High Wizardry, third novel in the Young Wizards series, shifts focus to Dairine, Nita's younger sister, who discovers Nita's wizard's manual at home and, without her sister's knowledge, takes the Wizard's Oath herself. Dairine's own manual arrives in an unexpected form, a computer she nicknames Spot, and she quickly begins using her new powers for interdimensional travel, journeying to Mars and other worlds far beyond anything Nita and Kit have yet encountered. During her travels Dairine comes across a vast, silicon-based planet built around an ancient dormant computer; once she wakes it, the system begins generating new forms of life, and Dairine takes an active hand in shaping and naming these emerging beings.
