Synopsis
House Rules begins when two rogue vampires vanish from Chicago without a trace, prompting Merit, now twenty-seven years old and serving as Sentinel and House protector of Cadogan House, to investigate alongside her ancient master, Ethan Sullivan. Their inquiry into the disappearances gradually uncovers a web of secret alliances stretching beyond Cadogan House and into older, more entrenched corners of vampire society. As Merit and Ethan follow the trail, they find themselves facing an adversary whose reach and history prove far more extensive, and far more personally connected to them, than the case first suggested, forcing them to question who among their own allies can truly be trusted.
