Overview
A 13-novel urban fantasy series (2009–2017) following Merit, a Chicago graduate student who is turned into a vampire against her will and drawn into the political houses that govern the city's vampire community. Across the series she rises from an outsider recruit at Cadogan House to a leading voice in vampire politics, navigating supernatural intrigue, romance, and recurring threats from rival factions and other supernatural groups sharing the city.
