Synopsis

Some Girls Bite follows Merit, a Chicago graduate student whose ordinary life ends the night she is attacked by a rogue vampire outside her apartment. Before the attacker can kill her, another vampire intervenes and, in order to save her life, turns her into one of the undead herself. Merit wakes to find that her rescuer is Ethan Sullivan, the centuries-old master of Cadogan House, one of Chicago's vampire Houses, who inducts her into his fold and expects her loyalty and obedience in return. Still adjusting to her new physical abilities, her vulnerability to sunlight, and Ethan's demanding, autocratic manner, Merit must find her footing within Cadogan House's rigid hierarchy while someone or something continues to stalk her, making clear that the attack that changed her life may only be the opening move in a larger and more dangerous conflict for the city's vampire community.
