Synopsis
Biting Cold sends Merit in pursuit of a supernatural adversary seeking to obtain an ancient and highly dangerous magical artifact. As her investigation widens, she finds herself no longer only the hunter but also the hunted, as an enemy fixes on her as a target across the American Midwest. With Ethan Sullivan and her allies at Cadogan House drawn into the chase, Merit must track the artifact and the forces pursuing it while staying a step ahead of those pursuing her in turn, in a confrontation that offers little room for error and no guarantee of safety for either side.
