Synopsis

Imager's Intrigue is the third book of the Imager Portfolio, picking up with Rhennthyl five years into his post as a Civic Patrol Captain in L'Excelsis, a role that has given him greater standing within the Collegium and the city alike. His experience does not prepare him for a bomb explosion outside the opera house, nor for the sudden spread of a virulent new strain of the narcotic elveweed through the streets of his district. At the same time, rising tension between the merchant factors and the aristocratic High Holders threatens to tip into open civil war, and Rhenn finds that the consequences of choices he made earlier in his career are catching up with him just as the city's stability grows most fragile.

Notes

  • From the series record (The Imager Portfolio): Twelve novels across three story arcs (Rhennthyl's, then Quaeryt's, then Alastar and Prince Charyn's) set in one continuous world and timeline, treated as a single series rather than a multi-series world.
