Synopsis
Interview with the Vampire is framed as a present-day account given by the vampire Louis de Pointe du Lac to a young reporter, recounting his long existence beginning in 1791 Louisiana, where he was transformed into a vampire by the charismatic and morally indifferent Lestat de Lioncourt following a period of grief and despair in his mortal life.
