Synopsis
On a snowy night, young Cara Hunter and her grandmother are chased into a church by a stranger. Using her grandmother's amulet, Cara leaps from the bell tower and arrives in Luster, a land where unicorns live in refuge from the Hunters who once nearly wiped them out. She has been given a message for the Unicorn Queen, and she sets out with a rebellious young unicorn named Lightfoot, a hairy creature called the Dimblethum and a monkey-like Squijim. Together they must reach the queen before a mysterious pursuer does, hoping to stop the destruction of the unicorns.
