Overview
Bruce Coville's Unicorn Chronicles follow Cara Hunter, a girl who is sent from a snowy church on Earth into Luster, a world parallel to ours where unicorns, dragons, centaurs and delvers live. In Into the Land of the Unicorns (1994) she carries her grandmother's message to the Unicorn Queen; Song of the Wanderer (1999), Dark Whispers (2008) and The Last Hunt (2010) follow her search for her family and the war between the unicorns and the Hunters led by her ancestor Beloved. The four novels were published by Scholastic and form a single continuous story that ends with The Last Hunt, described as the final original book. Revised editions began appearing in 2020.
