Synopsis
After her radio show makes her a recognisable face, Kitty Norville is called to Washington to testify before a Senate subcommittee about the supernatural community. Her appearance puts her on national television and brings new allies and new enemies, among them the local vampire leader, a charming were-jaguar visiting from Brazil, and a senator who wants to expose her as a monster. Kitty finds herself caught between politicians, pundits and scientists who all want something from the werewolves and vampires she speaks for, and she must find out who is working against her before the hearing turns dangerous.
