Synopsis
Labyrinth Lost, published by Zoraida Cordova in 2016, opens the Brooklyn Brujas trilogy. Alex Mortiz is an Encantrix, the most powerful bruja born into her family in generations, but she has hated magic for years, blaming it for her father's disappearance when she was a child. At her Deathday, the ceremony meant to formally awaken a young witch's power, Alex secretly casts a forbidden spell intended to strip her own magic away rather than embrace it. The spell backfires catastrophically, and instead of losing only her own powers, Alex watches her entire family vanish before her eyes. Desperate to undo the damage, she is forced to team up with Nova, a brujo she does not fully trust, and together they must travel into Los Lagos, a perilous supernatural realm, to find and rescue her family before it is too late.
