Synopsis

In the third and concluding novel of the Capitale du Sud trilogy, Nox is forced to leave the city of Gemina behind following devastating events, accompanied by his friend Symetre, and eventually arrives at the remote domain of the Guard Tower. Seeking to build a peaceful refuge far from the political machinations that have defined his life so far, Nox must adapt to an unfamiliar setting among new and initially wary allies, even as Gemina's influence and its oldest, half-forgotten threats continue to reach beyond the city's walls toward his fragile new sanctuary. The novel closes the trilogy's recurring thread about the power of stories and folklore to shape, and reshape, a life.
