Synopsis

Longshadow is the third novel in the Regency Faerie Tales series, continuing the story after Ten Thousand Stitches in the same faerie-touched Regency England. It centers on Abigail Wilder, an unconventional young woman determined to practice magic despite society's doubts about her abilities, and Mercy, a self-taught, street-born magician whose strange and unpredictable power unsettles those around her. When a string of mysterious deaths begins striking young women eligible for marriage across London, Abigail's father, the Lord Sorcier who serves as England's chief magical authority, suspects the involvement of a dark faerie lord known as Longshadow. Overlooked by others who question her competence, Abigail partners with Mercy to investigate the deaths, the two of them navigating both the supernatural danger stalking London and the social obstacles placed in their path, while a bond grows between them despite the peril surrounding their inquiry.
