Synopsis
Zoey Redbird is about to turn eighteen, and her friends, the Nerd Herd, have spent nearly a year scattered across the country. Stark brings them back to Tulsa for a surprise, but signs of trouble suggest that the dark High Priestess Neferet may be stirring again. Zoey asks her friends to join a protective circle around the grotto where Neferet is imprisoned. Rabid red vampyres close in on them, and the group has to come together to fight, although they wonder whether a year apart has pulled them too far from one another.
