Synopsis
The third novel follows the orphan Emily and her mentor, the alchemist Wittgenstein, as they go down beneath London once more to look into a dark mystery. The trail leads them as far as Prague. Meanwhile, people in the city vanish without a trace and strange fogs spread through the streets. The fallen angel Lycidas faces a choice that will matter for everyone around him, and Emily has to take a dangerous path if she wants to protect the people she loves. The book continues the story begun in Lycidas and Lilith and keeps the mix of Victorian city atmosphere and hidden magic.
