Synopsis
The first book of the Circle of Magic sequel series follows Sandrilene fa Toren, now living with her great-uncle Duke Vedris in his citadel while her foster siblings pursue their own paths elsewhere. Sandry discovers Pasco, a young street dancer with an untrained magical gift tied to movement and dance, and takes on the responsibility of training him to understand and control his power. At the same time, she assists her great-uncle in investigating a troubling series of murders connected to the city's noble clans. The story follows Sandry stepping into the role of teacher for the first time, balancing her duties at court with the demands of guiding an unpredictable new talent, while the mystery surrounding the killings draws both of them into danger.
