Synopsis

Meijo, the third novel in Les Sentiers des Astres, centers in part on Nisu, an apprentice shaman banished from her home island roughly a decade earlier after killing a sacred bear, who fled with her companion Meijo toward a place known as the Heritage while pursued by both a mysterious shadow and supernatural torment. The novel also follows the bard Fintan Calathynn and his companions as they try to piece together how Nisu came to be known as the courtesan Shakti, even as new dangers, including fire and hostile forces moving through the boreal forest, force the group back into flight before they can resume their search for the King-Speaker along the Paths of the Stars.
