Synopsis

Nocturnus is the name of the vampire society that, with its own laws and hierarchies, hides itself in the night of humanity. Daimon DelMoona, a talented violinist born in the seventeenth century, saw his world collapse when the woman he was to marry died; from his grief he is rescued by a vampire, who grants him the New Birth, and under her guidance he discovers the descendants of Tiriel, the rigid hierarchy that rules their shadow society, and the ancient vampire Janus MoonHunter, whose friendship turns out to be older than Daimon's own existence. So begins an odyssey across the centuries that culminates in a battle against the tyrant Alexander Phoenix, a vampire hungry for power, to stop whom new alliances must be forged. Along the way Daimon meets a young human woman who is the echo of his past in the present, the reincarnation of the love he lost.
