Synopsis
Memories of Ice is the third novel in Steven Erikson's Malazan Book of the Fallen series. It follows the renegade Malazan Fifth Army as it forges an unlikely, uneasy alliance with former enemies on the continent of Genabackis, former rivals it was fighting only recently, and together the combined force marches to confront the Pannion Domin, a ruthless emerging empire that is spreading conquest, famine, and outright atrocity across the region. As old grudges are set aside out of necessity, the alliance's disparate commanders must find a way to trust one another long enough to stand against a threat that endangers everyone on the continent.
