Synopsis
Midnight Falcon continues the Rigante series with the story of Bane, the illegitimate son of the Rigante king Connavar, known as Demonblade. Marked out by mismatched eyes that echo his father's distinctive features, Bane grows up rejected both by Connavar and by much of his own community, carrying that rejection as a lasting wound. Seeking a place where he can belong, he travels overseas and briefly finds peace, only for that life to be destroyed by an enemy's actions, setting him on a path toward vengeance. He turns to the arenas, fighting as a gladiator and honing himself into a formidable warrior. As the Stone empire's armies once again threaten the highlands, Bane is drawn back toward his homeland, forced to weigh his desire for revenge against a growing duty to protect the Rigante people and the older, stranger powers tied to the land itself.
