Synopsis
Moon Called opens the Mercy Thompson series in the Tri-Cities area of Washington State, introducing Mercy Thompson, a shapeshifter raised among werewolves who can never fully belong to their pack because her walker heritage sets her apart. She has built a quiet life running her own auto-repair shop, keeping her distance from the supernatural politics of her childhood. That changes when a starving, newly changed teenage werewolf shows up at her shop seeking help, forcing Mercy to turn to Adam Hauptman, the powerful alpha of the local pack, for aid. Her decision to get involved pulls her back into the werewolf world she had worked hard to leave behind, entangling her with pack hierarchy and old grudges. As Mercy navigates obligations to both the boy and the pack, she is drawn deeper into dangers she had hoped were behind her for good.
