Synopsis

Concluding the Voyage of the Jerle Shannara trilogy, the novel follows the crew of the airship Jerle Shannara as they continue their dangerous quest across treacherous skies and unfamiliar lands. The Morgawr, a centuries-old sorcerer of immense power who feeds on the souls of his enemies, commands a fleet of airships and an army of the undead in pursuit of the crew, driven by two goals: securing ancient magic from a legendary land and destroying his former disciple, the Ilse Witch, before she can turn that power against him. The crew, including Bek Ohmsford and his sister Grianne, the Ilse Witch, along with Quentin Leah, Walker Boh, Ahren Elessedil, the captain Redden Alt Mer, the warrior Rue Meridian, the ranger Hunter Predd, and the seer Ryer Ord Star, must evade the Morgawr and his lieutenant Cree Bega while confronting deep personal conflicts among themselves.
