Synopsis
Naamah's Kiss opens the Moirin Trilogy and introduces a new protagonist, Moirin mac Fainche, raised in the wilds of Alba as a solitary "bear witch" of the Maghuin Dhonn, the last of the old druidic peoples. Half Alban and half Angeline by an unlikely union her mother tells her was arranged by two goddesses, Moirin is also a distant descendant of the Angeline royal line. Skilled with a bow and possessed of modest magical gifts, she grows up resisting a childhood friend's wish to bind her to marriage and home. When the Maghuin Dhonn's goddess calls her to leave Alba and seek her destiny beyond its borders, Moirin sets out from her homeland toward Terre d'Ange and the wider world, beginning a journey that will draw her into court life, love, and adventures far from everything she has known.

- Internal chronology, within Kushiel's Legacy: position 7 of 9: previous Kushiel's Mercy (2008) · next Naamah's Curse (2010)
