Synopsis
Nachtland picks up after the resistance Furia has joined survives an attack by the Adamitic Academy, the powerful institution opposing them, and takes refuge at the Faerfax family residence to regroup. A rumor reaches the group that Marduk, the ruler of the hidden city Libropolis's underworld, possesses a map to the Sanctuary, a secret meeting place of the Academy's ruling Three Houses, and the resistance begins planning a heist to steal it and strike at the Academy's most vulnerable point. The operation goes wrong when the group is confronted by Atticus Arbogast, an Academy agent and former mentor to Furia's ally Isis, who offers the others an escape if Isis will come with him to hear him out, a choice that puts new strain on the group's trust in one another.
