Overview
A German fantasy universe built around bibliomancy, magic worked through books, told across two connected series: the Die Seiten der Welt trilogy (2014-2016), following the young bibliomancer Furia Salamandra Faerfax through a hidden world of living libraries as she searches for her own soul book after her brother is kidnapped by the rulers of bibliomancy, and its follow-up duology Die Spur der Bücher (2017-2018), set in the same world. Kai Meyer's opening volume, published by S. Fischer Verlag in September 2014, runs to over 550 pages and pits Furia against forces seeking the "unwriting" of all books, a threat to the living libraries at the heart of the setting. All five novels are in German, with no confirmed English translation.
