Synopsis
Blutbuch is the third volume of Die Seiten der Welt (The Pages of the World), continuing after Nachtland. The bibliomantic Sanctuary has fallen, and the magical world of books now faces a new, overwhelming threat: living Ideas rising from the golden abyss between the pages of the world and consuming one refuge after another. Furia Salamandra Faerfax, who has already lost her family's library and much of what she once relied on, begins to suspect that she alone might be able to halt the coming destruction. Doing so, she realizes, will demand a price higher than any she has paid so far, and the novel follows her reckoning with whether she is willing to pay it to save the pages of the world.
