Synopsis
Night and Silence is the twelfth novel in the October Daye series, opening in the aftermath of the previous book's betrayals, with Tybalt still recovering from his abduction, Jazz suffering from insomnia, and Toby's former liege Sylvester growing distant. Into this uneasy household comes fresh crisis: Toby's estranged human daughter, Gillian, is kidnapped, and Gillian's stepfather and his wife immediately accuse Toby of being behind it. Determined to clear her name and bring Gillian home regardless of the accusation, Toby begins investigating and finds signs pointing to fae involvement everywhere she looks, forcing her to work out who in Faerie even remembers that her daughter exists and what they might stand to gain from taking her.
