Synopsis

The captains Asleif Phileasson and Beorn, long-time rivals, agree to a race around the continent of Aventuria. The winner will be recognised as the greatest seafarer of all time and may call himself King of the Seas. They have eighty weeks to complete trials that no human has ever attempted, and each captain sets out with a crew and companions to prove himself against the other. The novel opens the Phileasson saga by Bernhard Hennen and Robert Corvus, which the publisher presents as a large fantasy epic set in the world of the role-playing game The Dark Eye. Heyne published it in 2016. The first leg of the contest sends both ships northward, where the rivals face the dangers of the cold coast and the wilderness beyond it.
