Synopsis
Orb Sceptre Throne is the fourth Novel of the Malazan Empire, set mainly in the city of Darujhistan during roughly the same period as the events of Stonewielder and The Crippled God. With the city finally enjoying a rare stretch of peace after years of war and upheaval, several long-running plotlines converge at once, including the rise of an ambitious would-be tyrant seeking to exploit the city's stability for his own ends, and a separate strand involving the disciplined, honor-bound warrior people known as the Seguleh, whose own internal politics begin to spill over into Darujhistan's affairs just as the city's hard-won calm starts to look dangerously fragile again.
