Synopsis
The concluding novel of the original Black Jewels trilogy picks up with Jaenelle Angelline, having completed her Offering to the Darkness, now ruling as Queen of Ebon Askavi and protector of the Shadow Realm. With her power fully awakened, she turns to hold accountable the corrupt members of the Blood who spent generations preying on the innocent and defiling the land she now governs. To face this reckoning she needs her Court whole, but her promised Consort, Daemon Sadi, remains lost in the madness of the Twisted Kingdom, and recovering him becomes essential to completing her strength. As Jaenelle works to reunite her allies and restore Daemon, the story follows her efforts to consolidate her rule and prepare her chosen family for a confrontation with the entrenched, malevolent factions still threatening the realms of Terreille, Kaeleer, and Hell.
