Synopsis
Saevus Corax earns his living as a battlefield scavenger, stripping weapons, armour, and valuables from the dead once a war's fighting has ended -- a trade with no formal training, learned only by doing. When a catastrophic defeat leaves an entire army's remains for the taking, the sudden windfall draws Corax and his crew into a widening entanglement with mercenary companies, rival scavengers, and the political fallout of the battle itself. Along the way, a past he has tried hard to bury starts catching up with him, complicating a trade he had always treated as a simple, if grim, business.
