Synopsis
The tenth and final novel in the Iron Druid Chronicles opens with the Norse gods Loki and Hel freed from the bonds of fate and moving to trigger Ragnarok, having gathered allies from several dark pantheons to help bring about a worldwide catastrophe. Atticus O'Sullivan assembles an unlikely team, including a tyromancer, an Indian witch and a trickster god, to try to defend the earth from the coming onslaught. Meanwhile his apprentice, Granuaile McTiernan, fights alongside the immortals Sun Wukong and Erlang Shen against the Yama Kings in Taiwan, uncovering how far-reaching the crisis truly is, while the archdruid Owen Kennedy works to manage emergencies spanning Bavaria, Peru and beyond to safeguard the future of Druidry itself.
