Synopsis
The Masked Army has invaded the neighboring kingdom of Sindhura, and its king asks Pars for help. King Arslan leads the Parsian army to the rescue. On the advice of his strategist Narsus, the army does not march straight into the war zone but swings wide to the north and breaks across the Chuluk border, a route the enemy does not expect. The flanking plan works and the army presses on, though the blurb hints at a complication. The volume builds toward a long-awaited duel between Hirmes and Daryun and reveals the painful past of Farangis.
