Synopsis
The sixth and last Winter of the World novel, Shadow of the Seer is a definite departure from the template of the earlier books: rather than within the North American and European confines of its predecessors, it is set in an indistinct central Asian locale of the same frozen world, still threatened by the Ice. Published by Orbit in 2001, it was Michael Scott Rohan's last novel, as illness then silenced him as a novelist, and it closes the second trilogy begun with The Castle of the Winds and The Singer and the Sea.
