Synopsis
MacKayla Lane and her sister Alina were sent away from Ireland as children and raised abroad. Years later Alina is dead, and Mac has returned to Ireland to find who killed her. In the course of the search she learns that her family line carries both a gift and a curse, and she is drawn into a long hidden conflict between humans and immortals who have lived among them for thousands of years. Still grieving, Mac pursues the Sinsar Dubh, a book of forbidden magic written by the Unseelie King that can create or destroy worlds. In a wider war between humans and the Fae she becomes the hunted, and she must decide whom she can trust while working out who she really is.
