Synopsis

The sixth novel finds Anton Gorodetsky approached by a rogue vampire who brings him an unsettling warning: an ancient and immensely powerful entity has stirred after ages of dormancy, and an old prophecy holds that its return will bring about the destruction of the world. Still working within the Night Watch alongside his family, including his daughter Nadya, whose own extraordinary nature has already drawn dangerous attention in earlier books, Anton is forced to take the threat seriously even though its exact shape and intentions remain unclear. Treating the warning as more than vampire rumor, he sets about gathering allies from both sides of the old Light and Dark divide, aware that facing whatever has awakened will require cooperation the Watches have rarely managed before, and that failing to identify and stop it in time could mean there is no world left to argue over.
