Synopsis

Sleeping Late on Judgment Day, published by Tad Williams in 2014, concludes the Bobby Dollar trilogy. Bobby Dollar is still working to secure the release of his demon girlfriend Caz, the Countess of Cold Hands, from her imprisonment in Hell, a mission complicated by the machinations of the Hell prince Eligor. Bobby believes he has identified an angel secretly collaborating with Eligor, but lacks the proof needed to expose the betrayal and use it to advance Caz's rescue, leaving him to gather evidence while operating under suspicion from his own side. The novel continues directly from the unresolved threads of the previous book, following Bobby as he moves between the mortal world and the afterlife's warring bureaucracies in pursuit of both justice and a personal reunion that has eluded him since the series began.
