Synopsis
Jon-Tom and Talea’s son Buncan wants adventures of his own, but although he longs to become a spellsinger like his father, his singing is so bad that it keeps accidentally summoning evil spirits into the house. When a sloth merchant arrives in search of treasure, Buncan and the two children of Mudge the otter seize the chance to tag along, and the young friends set out into the world with musical magic even less reliable than Jon-Tom’s ever was. The seventh novel hands the series to a new generation of characters.
