Synopsis
Son of the Shadows, the second novel in the Sevenwaters series, is set in ninth-century Ireland and follows Liadan, the third child of Sorcha and her husband Red, as she grows up within the household of Sevenwaters, drawn into both the family's old ties to the Fair Folk and the shifting political rivalries surrounding her father's lands. As a healer in training, Liadan is more grounded in the practical world than in magic, but she is nonetheless pulled into danger when a mysterious and secretive man connected to a hidden network of allies enters her life, forcing her to choose between the safety of her family home and a path that will test her loyalty, her healing skills and her feelings for a man whose true purpose she does not yet fully understand.
