Overview
A historical fantasy series by Juliet Marillier following four generations of the Sevenwaters family across roughly 9th-century Ireland and Britain, beginning with Sorcha and continuing through her daughter Liadan, Liadan's cousin Fainne, and later Sorcha's descendants Clodagh and Sibeal. Each novel is narrated in the first person by a young woman of the family, giving the series an introspective, personal register even as its plots move through Celtic-British border conflicts, noble disputes and the family's long-standing bond with the Otherworld and its Fair Folk.
