Synopsis
Child of the Prophecy, the third novel in the Sevenwaters series, follows Fainne, daughter of Niamh and the sorcerer Ciaran, who has been raised apart from the rest of the Sevenwaters family in the remote region of Kerry after her mother's early death. Trained in magic by her father, Fainne discovers as she grows older that she may be the prophesied figure destined either to reclaim a set of sacred, long-lost islands for her family or to bring about their ruin, depending on choices still ahead of her. Manipulated by a vengeful figure from her father's past who exploits her isolation and her uncertain place in the family, Fainne is drawn toward Sevenwaters and into the old conflicts between her relatives, the Fair Folk and rival claimants to power that earlier books in the series had left unresolved.
