Synopsis
Heir to Sevenwaters, the fourth novel in the series, centers on Clodagh, one of the six daughters of Sean and Aisling of Sevenwaters, who has always felt overshadowed by her more striking sisters and has instead focused her attention on running the household. When her newborn brother, the long-awaited male heir to Sevenwaters, is stolen from his cradle and replaced with a fretful changeling child, Clodagh is the only one who realizes what has happened. Determined to bring her real brother home, she ventures into the perilous Otherworld that borders Sevenwaters, a realm governed by its own rules and dangers, accompanied by a taciturn young man named Cathal whose own connection to that world is more complicated than it first appears, as Clodagh works to undo whatever bargain or trickery led to her brother's disappearance.
