Synopsis
Soulstar closes out the Kingston Cycle in the immediate aftermath of the king's decree freeing Aeland's imprisoned witches, as hundreds of traumatized, disoriented survivors flood back into the streets of Kingston with nowhere to go. Robin Thorpe, a nursing student and dedicated Solidarity movement activist, hopes above all to reunite with Zelind, her childhood love who has spent nearly two decades unjustly imprisoned, and finds support from her friend Grace Hensley, whose political position continues to grow more precarious. When an act of violence thrusts Robin into a leadership role within the Solidarity movement for social equity and witches' freedom, she must navigate a political landscape rife with betrayals, falsified election results, spies, and corrupt officials, even as the king backslides on his promised reforms and deadly storms threaten Aeland's fragile path toward democratic change.

Notes
- From the series record (The Kingston Cycle): The complete trilogy, published by Tor.com Publishing (2018-2020). A gaslamp/Edwardian-inspired secondary world recovering from a war modeled on WWI; a feminist, political narrative about the uprising of a repressed underclass, with a distinct queer romance and murder mystery in each volume. Internal chronology equals publication order; no dispute found. No companion short fiction or novellas set in this universe were found -- the trilogy is the entirety of the Core Canon.
