Synopsis
On a world ruled by Chaos, the magi govern humanity from a black castle on the Star Peninsula. When the sadistic Vordegh becomes First Magus, Benetan Liss, a Chaos Rider of twelve years' standing, leads his demon-mounted riders to collect the young servants that custom demands. One of them is Iselia Darrow, a woman he once loved, who has just married Kaldar, a self-taught sorcerer who secretly serves the banished god of Order. Benetan tries to shield her while Kaldar sets out to open a way for Order's return.
