Synopsis
Stormchaser is the second Edge Chronicles novel and follows directly from Beyond the Deepwoods. Twig Verginix has achieved his ambition of serving aboard a sky pirate vessel, but Captain Cloud Wolf refuses to let him join a hazardous expedition to harvest stormphrax, a rare and volatile substance that can only be gathered from within a Great Storm. Unwilling to be left behind, Twig defies the captain's order and stows away on the ship, the Stormchaser, as it sets out toward the gathering tempest. His deception places him and the rest of the crew in growing danger as the vessel closes on the storm, testing both the ship's construction and the loyalty and nerve of everyone aboard as they confront one of the most destructive forces in their world.
