Synopsis

Georgina Kincaid, a Seattle succubus now managing the bookstore where she works and dating human author Seth Mortensen, must abstain from sex with him to avoid draining his life force even as their relationship grows more serious, while she is also tasked with mentoring Cody, an incompetent newly arrived succubus who keeps making a mess of her assignments. Her already strained routine is further disrupted when she begins having vivid, unsettling dreams of living an ordinary human life, and wakes from them each time with her own magical energy mysteriously drained. As the dreams recur and intensify, showing her troubling visions tied to her future, Georgina must work out what is causing them and stop the drain before it threatens her, even as her deteriorating love life and new mentoring duties pile pressure on her.
