Synopsis
Sunrunner's Fire closes out the original Dragon Prince trilogy in the year 728 of the continent's calendar, moving between Goddess Keep, Princemarch, and the Desert. Pol, now Ruling Prince of Princemarch and raised from birth by High Prince Rohan and High Princess Sioned to fulfill their hopes for him, tries to grow into the ruler his upbringing intended even as new dangers gather. Andry, recently installed as Lord of Goddess Keep, is troubled by ominous visions, while a sorcerer named Ruval prepares a formal, blood-based challenge to Pol's claim on Princemarch, backed by the enchantress Mireva and his brother Marron. Elsewhere, the scheming Prince Miyon works to use the sheltered, politically useful Meiglan against Pol, and the Desert's dragons come under mysterious, unexplained attack, adding an unsettling new threat to the mounting political and sorcerous pressure on Pol's rule.
