Synopsis
Sweet Silver Blues opens the Garrett P.I. series in the sprawling, corrupt city of TunFaire, capital of the kingdom of Karenta, where humans share cramped streets with elves, dwarves and other races. Garrett, an ex-marine turned freelance private investigator, is approached by the wealthy Tate family after Denny Tate, an old army comrade of Garrett's, dies and leaves behind a fortune in silver willed to a woman named Kayean Kronk, whom the family has never met. Garrett accepts the job of tracking her down and is forced to travel back into the Cantard, the war-torn southern territory he had hoped never to see again, all while rival parties connected to Denny's shady dealings try to get to the inheritance and its intended recipient first.
