Synopsis
Aurian and Anvar have escaped the Archmage Miathan, but they have not lifted the curse on Aurian's unborn child, and Miathan remains a threat to the whole world. Their last hope is the Sword of Flame, the final and greatest of the Artefacts of Power, which is hidden and guarded. As armies gather across the lands, the Mages set out to find the Sword before their enemy does. The peoples and creatures of the world, among them the Xandim, the Skyfolk and the dragons, must decide which side they will take as the conflict widens and the travellers press on.
