Synopsis
The power structures of the Empire are collapsing. The Castle, its strongest service, has stopped functioning, and the palace is helpless as its foundations fall apart. Diplomacy breaks down after the ambassador of the Kingdom of Troy disappears on imperial soil, and the people of Luan slide into mass hysteria. Taida is running out of time and cannot rely on the Castle, on Nerva or on anyone else, and she is no longer sure she can trust herself. The Emperor demands bloody results. Virion and his people try to deliver them, but the jokes stop when the Legion of Moy arrives at the border.
